COCOMO - Costs of your project

Reference: Software Measurement Guidebook, Revision 1, June 1995, Software Engineering Laboratory Series, NASA, Goddard Space Flight Center, Greenbelt, Maryland 20771

To estimate the costs (effort) of your project the following 3 steps are necessary:
1. The mode or application type has to be set
2. The cost multiplier factors have to be determined.
3. The KDSI value has to be estimated
After selecting all desired properties the result can be seen at the end of this page by activating the CALCULATE button.

1. Setting the Application Type

By clicking on the buttons more information about the modes will be available.

2. Determining the Cost Multiplier Factors

Just fill out the Cost Multipilier Factors (CMF) window to determine the factors!!! Push the NEW button to reset the data on the CMF window to their initial values respectively to generate a new CMF window. Push the ACCEPT to take over the entries from the CMF form!

3. Estimating KDSI

The KDSI value is a count of physical source statements for new and reused code. It includes format and data declarations, but excludes comments and unmodified utility software.

Estimate the KDSI value right here:

4. Result

By clicking the RESET button all options will be set to their initial values.
By clicking the CALCULATE button all options will be interpreted. The result can be seen then right here.
